Do you dream of being a part of the green transition? In this subject, we go into the wonderful garden of the school, use our hands to create something from scratch. Here, we will gain more knowledge on how to solve some of the world’s climate challenges. Do you want to join?
Foundation
In a time where we move further and further away from nature, food, and ourselves, and where we are constantly told to consume to balance the economic growth, there is a need for a stop and to take a step back. To contribute to a greener world, we must slow down. We must get our hands dirty, create from scratch, and ‘wear the big glasses’. This way allows for a greater perspective on the challenges of our climate and world.
What will we be doing?
In self-sufficiency, we will explore how to live more sustainable, greener, and healthier. In the garden, we will grow groceries, get our fingers dirty, and explore the exciting biology of the plants. We will create food and generate life for wild insects.
We will ferment, maintain, and collect herbs, make homemade tee, and grow eatable mushrooms. We will create our own soap, lotion, sew in leather, give life to old furniture, clothes and do fun projects like plant colorings. We will visit exciting green project and food productions. We will debate and grow together with the intension of becoming smarter on how we in practice generate the green transition – in our own life.
